Your Winter Haven
From the buds of early spring to the cool nights of winter, the Isle of Wight has so much to offer whenever you visit.
You can explore the Island and its many attractions during the busy summer periods, or wait till the Island’s trees change colour from green to brown and discover a new side to the Isle of Wight during the autumn and winter.
Many attractions are open all year round, and, with plenty of great events taking place from January all through to December means you’ll never be short of things to do. Most restaurants, bars and takeaways are also open throughout the year making it easy to find a great place to eat during your stay.
Whether you just want to relax and reconnect with your mind, body and spirit or fancy a trip to an animal-themed attraction with the kids or simply explore the wonderful and incredible history of the Island there is still so much here to entertain!
The Isle of Wight has many beautiful beaches to take advantage of too - no matter when you visit. You’ll be able to bask in the sun or just stroll along some of our sandy shorelines, enjoying our wonderful coastline.
Many of the Island's attractions stay open throughout the year so you can still enjoy some of the wonderful attractions that make the Island such a fantastic place to visit and explore.
There is plenty to do when you are here, even on the days where you don't want to spend too much time outside. From a multiplex cinema in Newport showing the latest blockbusters to the Osborne estate where you can walk around, explore and find out about the life of Queen Victoria, her family and history.
As memories of summer begin to fade we welcome late Autumn and Winter to the Isle of Wight – a time that those in the know will tell you is perfect to pay us a visit!

As well as having some of the most picturesque and stunning country walks throughout the Island you also have nearly 70 miles of coastline to explore!
Heritage
Steeped in History the Island has been home to civilisations throughout all the ages. From the dinosaurs to the Bronze age, Celtic Druids to the Romans, Jutes, Saxons, Normans and all the royal families to the present day have all left their mark!
Cycling
Whether you’d like to take on the 7 hill challenge over some of the toughest, steepest and the most stunning Isle of Wight terrain or if you’d prefer a more sedate pedal along our coast we have enough routes that appeal to cyclists of all ages!

Celebrations continue all throughout the year upon our Island!
